Their hometown of Ormond Beach is a quintessential old Florida beach town stocked with history, gorgeous beaches, a happening dining scene, and other activities that definitely should be explored. Its many festivals, which happen year-round, are especially enjoyable and are occasions to enjoy on your own or with friends or guests.
Best of all, Plantation Bay residents are only 15 minutes and less than 10 miles away. And while there’s a boatload of awesome resident amenities to enjoy at home, grooving to live music, shopping artisans’ booths, and sampling festival food is always a good excuse for a local outing.
Here’s more on Ormond Beach’s festivals, which are centered around or take place near Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach’s version of Main Street.

Ormond Beach MainStreet, a local nonprofit run by volunteers, helps stage the festivals. The group is one of 50 Main Street-accredited entities in Florida that work to promote all the good aspects of local businesses and hometowns.
Six festivals are on the current calendar. Depending on when you read this, there’s likely one on the horizon. Check the annual lineup and bookmark anything appealing. Here’s a quick look:
The Granada Grand Festival of the Arts kicks off the year, typically in early February. Artists from multiple disciplines display their art along with performance and visual artists. There’s also a kid’s zone with kid-centric activities.
A Taste of Ormond, in early March, features samples from two dozen Ormond Beach restaurants, along with craft breweries, wineries, and live music.
The Celtic Festival celebrates Celtic traditions in mid-April, offering food, music and Highland Games. Learn about Celtic history, families, and tartan patterns.
Christmas in July gives Plantation Bay residents an opportunity to knock out all those holiday gifts early! Shop specials from local merchants along Ormond Beach’s main street — Granada Avenue — and patronize adjacent restaurants and bars while you’re at it.
Finally, Small Business Saturday remains an important way to Shop Small and support local businesses during the busiest shopping period of the year — Thanksgiving weekend.
And, if six annual festivals weren’t enough reason for Plantation Bay residents to enjoy their hometown, the Ormond Beach Farmers Market is yet another worthy reason. It runs from 8 am until 1 pm every Thursday, all year long, and takes place at 22 South Beach Street at David Hood Plaza, in front of city hall.
You’ll find fresh produce, foodstuff, ingredients, and homemade treats, plus more from area vendors. While you’re there, grab lunch at a nearby restaurant, then walk it off with some window shopping!
