For many, the Fourth of July holiday marks the high point of the summer. The month of July is when the warm weather hits its peak for the year, which means that this month should be filled with as many days of lounging around the pool as possible.
The Club de Bonmont Golf Course and Clubhouse will both be closed from July 2 through July 28. That means that all of the social events and dinner specials will be held at the Prestwick Clubhouse this month. The two will flip-flop roles next month while the Prestwick Golf Course and Clubhouse are closed from August 6 through August 31. This should give both courses and clubhouses ample time to prepare for an absolutely packed schedule coming in September.
One of the biggest events scheduled for July is going to be the Summer Saturday Social on July 26. This casual dinner party will be held at Prestwick from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Guests will be able to order dinner from an a la carte menu, and there will be drink specials and live entertainment from Frank Braccia.
Sports & Recreation Activities
Tennis players will have the opportunity to celebrate Independence Day on the court at the Firecracker Mixed Doubles Round Robin that will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, July 4. There will also be an event for Junior Futures Team Tennis held on Friday, July 11 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
The Twilight Golf events will continue to be held every Thursday evening in July on the Prestwick Course. The biggest Twilight Golf event of the month will be the 1st Half Shootout that will be held on Thursday, July 10.
The Junior Golf Camp is already underway for golfers between the ages of 7 and 16. The camp will continue through July 25, and participants of all skill levels will receive coaching on all aspects of the game.
Dinner Specials
There are two big Saturday night dinner specials scheduled for the month of July. Saturday, July 5 will be Dinner & Karaoke with DJ Mondo. Then, Saturday, July 19 will be Wine & Steak night.
The Tuesday night dinner specials will also continue in July with Family Favorites, Prime Rib Night, Fish & Chips, Turkey Tuesday, and Southwestern Buffet Night taking up the five Tuesdays in July in that order.
Once again, because Club de Bonmont will be closed for most of the month of July, all of these dinner specials and events will be held in the Prestwick Clubhouse.
