A Masterpiece in the Making: Update on the New Clubhouse

A Masterpiece in the Making: Update on the New Clubhouse - plantation bay club a masterpiec 1

Plantation Bay is a master-planned community already teeming with the region’s best resident amenities, but very soon, it will add a (literally!) huge one — The Club, a new $30-million, 40,500-square-foot Golf and Lifestyle Center.

As seen in the sneak peek above, The Club’s architecture seamlessly blends classic and contemporary styles. The building’s façade is a masterpiece of modern design, featuring sleek lines and large, sparkling glass panels that provide panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

A new golf central

Following a busy summer of men’s and women’s summer golf leagues, junior golf camps, course maintenance, twilight golf and charity tournaments, current and future Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club Members can now look forward to the projected Autumn opening of the new Golf and Lifestyle Center. Just in time for Plantation Bay’s cooler weather golfing season!

Members already have no shortage of outstanding golf options. The community is home to 45 holes, the Prestwick Clubhouse, and the current Club de Bonmont Clubhouse.

The new West Indies-style facility will replace the circa-1980s Club de Bonmont clubhouse. The new facility was created by the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-based Tom Hoch Designs, Inc., the same firm that has executed projects for the Augusta National Golf Club.

A new event hub

Event, social and dining spaces will be expandable to accommodate all sizes of occasions, including those up to 600 people. To contrast, the current Club de Bonmont clubhouse’s maximum event capacity is 200 people.

“This is a one-of-a-kind clubhouse,” Hosseini told the Daytona Beach News-Journal in early January 2023. “I want to do this as a legacy for me. I want to leave it for our residents at Plantation Bay.”

The new Golf and Lifestyle Center is especially important to Mori Hosseini, ICI Homes’ founder and CEO. A Plantation Bay resident himself, he had hoped to replace the current Club de Bonmont clubhouse sooner, but once the opportunity materialized, he has helmed the project as a gift to the current and future community.
