Just like every month at Plantation Bay, the February activities calendar is packed full of exciting social events of all kinds. From weekly dinner specials, to a Valentine’s Day sweethearts dance, to the club’s mixed doubles tennis championship, there really is something for everyone on the upcoming calendar.
Here are some of the most interesting events planned for February:
Saturday, February 1 – Saturday, February 8
Residents of Plantation Bay will be kicking off the month of February with a Dinner and Bingo party on Saturday, February 1 at Club De Bonmont. The festivities will kick off at 5:00 pm with a full dinner buffet followed by a fun evening of bingo. This event will require casual dinner attire, which means no jeans! The cost is $16.95, and reservations can be made by calling 386-437-4844, ext. 13.
On Tuesday, February 4, the weekly dinner special at Club De Bonmont will be “Family Favorites.” Then, Wednesday will be the club’s weekly all-day happy hour with beer, wine, and margarita specials.
There is a Lunch-and-Learn Seminar scheduled for Friday, February 7 at 11:00 am. This event will provide an opportunity for residents to get together to learn about topics associated with healthy aging and preventing memory loss. Dr. Mabry, PhD will be the guest speaker. The lunch provided will be a soup and salad bar. The cost for this event is $11.95, and reservations can be made at 386-437-4844, ext. 13.
The first week of February will be capped off on Saturday, February 8 with a Dinner & Karaoke party at Club De Bonmont. Diners will be able to order from an a la carte menu, and DJ Mondo will be leading the karaoke party. This event will require casual dinner attire. Reservations can be made at 386-437-4844, ext. 13.
Sunday, February 9 – Saturday, February 15
The second week of February kicks off with a Valentine’s Mixer that will be held on Sunday, February 9 at Prestwick Clubhouse.
That event will be followed by Prime Rib Night as the weekly dinner special at Club De Bonmont on Tuesday, February 11. There will also be regular weekly drink specials at Club De Bonmont on Wednesday, February 12.
Probably the biggest event of the month will be the Valentine’s Day Dinner & Dance held at Club De Bonmont on Friday, February 14. This fabulous dinner will start at 6:00 pm with a cocktail hour including hors d’oeuvres, followed by a seated dinner that will offer a combination entree of roasted beef and sea bass. Following dinner will be entertainment provided by Vic Paci and Mario Keyes. This is a “jackets preferred” event, and the cost is $34.00 per person. For the tennis players of the community, the club’s Mixed Doubles Championship will be held on Saturday, February 15 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Sunday, February 16 – Saturday, February 22
The third week of February is a seafood lover’s treat as the Tuesday dinner special at Club De Bonmont on February 18 will be Snow Crab Legs. As usual, the Wednesday drink specials will follow at the club on February 19.
On Thursday, February 20, Club De Bonmont will host a Wine & Tapas event from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. For only $10.00, guests will be able to enjoy tasting a wide range of select wines. There will also be an a la carte tapas menu available for everyone in attendance. Reservations for this event can be made by calling 386-437-4844, ext. 13 or 16.
Sunday, February 23 – Friday, February 28
As the month of February winds to a close, residents will be able to treat themselves to Pasta Night as the weekly dinner special at Club De Bonmont on Tuesday, February 25. There will be the usual drink specials at Club De Bonmont on Wednesday.
One of the last big events of the month will be the January & February Birthday Night Dinner & Dance at Club De Bonmont on Thursday, February 27. This event will feature a dinner choice of beef tenderloin or seafood stuffed flounder, and live entertainment from DJ Lee Osborn. The cost for the event is $25, and jackets are optional for gentlemen. Reservations can be made by contacting 386-437-4844, ext. 16 or 17.
