The Ormond Scenic Loop & Trail, which locals refer to simply as “The Loop,” is a double loop of roadways that runs from Ormond Beach almost all the way up to Flagler Beach.
The Loop includes stretches of Ocean Shore Boulevard, John Anderson Drive, Old Dixie Highway, and North Beach Street. This gives visitors access to great Florida beaches on the Atlantic Ocean, three different state parks that all offer something unique to experience, and all of the historic beauty of Ormond Beach.

The summer months are right around the corner, which means that plans are already in the works for this year’s youth Summer Tennis and Swim Camp! This camp has become one of the most popular events of the summer for many of our younger residents.
Not only is the camp a great summer activity for local children to participate in, it also provides a way to teach them how to properly use all of the first-class facilities here at Plantation Bay.

Last weekend Club de Bonmont and Prestwick hosted the Men’s Member Guest Golf Tournament.
This is always one of the most anticipated events on the Plantation Bay calendar, and this year’s event was one of the best ever. The weather was spectacular for the entire week and the players enjoyed a fun round robin format competition and great food service during the tournament.
The event began on Thursday April 3rd, with a Skills Challenge encompassing putting, chipping, and closest to the pin contests.
One-thing new Plantation Bay residents often comment on is the amount of wildlife they regularly encounter throughout the community.

Unlike a lot of other Florida communities built in areas that have essentially been bulldozed and cleared for development, much of Plantation Bay has been purposely undeveloped and left in its natural state. As a result, it is a habitat for an array of Florida wildlife species, some that are friendly, and others you’ll want to avoid.
This Sunday (April 6th) ICI Homes will host “Music in the Park” at Prestwick Parke in Plantation Bay from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Now in its 10th year, this semiannual event is a resident favorite, and is expected to be attended by more than 300 Plantation Bay residents.
As the name suggests, there will be plenty of live music including jazz, old time rock, and upbeat dance music.
The Easter Bunny brings more than just hard-boiled eggs and candy to residents of Plantation Bay during the month of April.
With spring officially here, golf tournament season is coming down the home stretch with multiple events scheduled to close out the season, including the Mixed Club Championship, the Men’s Member Guest Golf Tournament, and the Children’s Museum Golf Classic.
The month of April will also be bringing us a new schedule of social events, a new lineup of Tuesday night dinner specials, and even a new weekly special at Club de Bonmont.
The 2014 Parade of Homes is upon us, and this year we actually have three Plantation Bay homes entered in the parade.
The parade officially runs March 22 through March 30, and during that time the following homes will be open Monday through Saturday 10-5 p.m. and Sunday 12-5 p.m.
