Many people consider Labor Day Weekend to be the official close of summer, but the end of summer is just the beginning of the rest of the year at Plantation Bay.
In addition to all of the great social events and dinner specials that members are accustomed to seeing every month, September also brings a fresh start for many of our golf and tennis leagues.
Here are some of the great activities and events that you will definitely want to mark on your calendars for this month:
As the month of August approaches, we are all faced with the reality that another summer is winding down. In many parts of the country, this means that it’s time to soak up as much sun as possible before the fall and winter months bring colder temperatures and indoor activities.
While the winter months are certainly nothing to fear here in Florida, the number of exceptionally hot days beside the pool are still numbered. However, the end of summer also brings the promise of new golf and tennis seasons, so there are still plenty of great activities to look forward to!
For many, the Fourth of July holiday marks the high point of the summer. The month of July is when the warm weather hits its peak for the year, which means that this month should be filled with as many days of lounging around the pool as possible.
The Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club was granted a tremendous honor recently when our Director of Tennis, Dave Brown was named the Daytona Beach District’s United States Professional Tennis Association “Pro of the Year.” The announcement was made at the recent USPTA convention.
One of the best ways to spend a warm summer afternoon is reading a good book. Since there is no shortage of spectacular summer afternoons here at Plantation Bay, residents have plenty of opportunities to relax and catch up on their reading lists. If you are looking for recommendations for books or would like to discuss what you are reading, the Plantation Bay Book Club provides a great forum for both!
Memorial Day has come and gone, and that means that summer is now in full swing. The warm weather and sunshine makes this a great time to get out and socialize with friends and neighbors, participate in one of the many recreational activities, or stop in for one of the weekly specials at Club de Bonmont or the Prestwick Clubhouse.
One of the best things about living in a country club community like Plantation Bay is that you can leave your car at home and use your golf cart to get wherever it is you want to go within the community.
In fact, about 50% of all Plantation Bay residents have their own cart.
In this guide we’ll give you the answers to some of the frequently asked golf cart questions we get from new Plantation Bay residents.
